MARC MIMRAM BRIDGES

French architect and civil engineer Marc Mimram is one of the world’s leading designers of bridges. This monograph presents forty emblematic bridge designs he has realised with his Paris-based firm Marc Mimram Architecture Ingénierie, located in France, the UK, Morocco, and China. Arranged in three thematic sections—Landscape / Public Space, Gravity / Statics, Fabrication / Materiality—each project is documented through photographs, plans, and technical details and a concise text that highlight the design process as well as prefabrication and construction phases. This is supplemented with an introductory essay by distinguished architecture historian Antoine Picon and a conversation between Picon and Mimram, as well as a photo essay by celebrated architectural and landscape photographer Erieta Attali. A complete chronological catalogue of Marc Mimram’s bridge projects and an index round out this volume. Text in English and French.
